Tap Into Your Intuition

Tap Into Your Intuition

Intuition is a process that gives us the ability to know something directly without analytic reasoning, bridging the gap between the conscious and nonconscious parts of our mind, and also between instinct and reason. Everyone has an intuitive voice, but the degree to which it used varies from person to person.

Looking to make better, more integrative decisions? Yoga can help strengthen and hone your intuition to create a valuable guidance system. You’ll start paying attention to and trusting those little hunches or gut feelings that you have, allowing true instinctual awareness into your rational everyday life.

  • Breath to Build Intuition with Kia Miller: This is a powerful pranayama practice that uses a 4 stroke breath designed to stimulate your pituitary gland, associated with hormone balance and our intuition. This is one of my favorite practices. You will feel a profound energetic shift from relating to your breath for a full 17 minutes. Use this practice to develop your capacity to live and act from your intuitive mind. Enjoy.
  • Think for Yourself with Steven Espinosa: It is important to remember to follow your own instincts and intuition as well as to think for yourself. A variety of options are offered for you to determine what feels best for you. Begin with an opening meditation which leads you into a standing pose flow including warriors and half moon pose. Experiment with the arm balance galavasana and conclude with back bends. Trust your instincts and think for yourself.
  • Ajna Chakra Intuitive Flow with Jo Tastula: We explore the 6th Chakra called Ajna. It has to do with sight, insight & intuition. It is a center of clairvoyance, clear perception and commands our reality. We practice using drishti and the power of the gaze and call upon our psychic and telepathic abilities by practicing with the eyes closed! Practice includes lots of cooling introspective forward bends and twists. Also includes eye exercises, breath-work and guided meditation. Props Suggested: A strap or blindfold.
  • Intuitive Presence with Elena Brower: Your inner state is all you bring to any context. Creatively open your shoulders and arms, and work on strength to bring more listening and presence to your interactions. Feel the generosity of our own attention, and how that attention helps you be more present for others by way of opening through the wrists, fun variations of down dog and virabhadrasana with arm variations. Props Needed: A block.
  • Command Your Consciousness & Thrive with Kia Miller: This practice includes live music and a kriya that is designed to balance the hemispheres of the mind, increase intuition and re-energize the body, allowing a greater capacity to command our own consciousness and thrive in life. The class is done seated using mantra and a series of active movements with the arms. Live music in the class with Jaya Laxshmi an Ananda. Prop suggested: A blanket.
